I see this kind of abuse at ny neighbourhood fish shop too. Some of them were half dying.

Make sure to leave a bad or critical review on Google for the shop specifically about how they keep the bettas. Change only comes from people speaking up!

It’s not perfect rn cuz the heater broke and his live plants are still in shipping but this beats the hell out of a plastic cup
