Hey everyone! I’ve recently moved and now have the potential to catch some Brookies in a few streams where I am. I’ve caught them in the shallows during ice-out on lakes but I am struggling to find them in the streams here in the cold.
Summer time I’ve gotten a good bunch of them in some of the pools here but with the cold I am having a hard time finding anything. Been out for a good 4-5 hours this week without a bite.
Fishing wet flies and nymphs to no avail.
Any tips are appreciated! I’ve added some photos to sort of help show what the stream here is like.

Have you caught brookies there in the summer time? Probably me, but I am having trouble understanding if you’ve caught winter trout in the waters you’re questioning or not.
It could be those waters don’t hold trout.
Otherwise, small flies deep slow drift. You should be feeling the nymph bounce off the bottom.
