I recently added small pieces of driftwood to my aquarium, and a few hours later i noticed this creature that uses a piece of the wood as a shell, i have around 30 neocaridina davidi shrimps and a betta, is this creature a threat and what should i do?

All that I can think of is that one of the shrimp got a piece of driftwood stuck to his head

This means you have really good water parameters these guys only live in clear streams ect

Caddis fly larvae. They build little suits around themselves out of materials they find in their environment. Look them up. There’s a guy that blings them out with fancy materials

Honestly that’s so cool, I’d keep it.

At first thought it was a literal stick bug.

What else do you have in there? Keep him away from the school with that thing
