I dont know what to do here. My drag washers are seated properly inside the reel and the two slightly curved washers that sit on top of the clicker assembly are in () this orientation so they can load eachother.
That said i am struggling to get my drag fully locked down, it gets about 75% of total pressure but will not lock down! Very confused and I have never has this issue before. Could the brass nut not be tight enough? I dont know what is going on here.

Your braid might be slipping on the spool. How did you attach the line?
How can you tighten the drag without the drag star? That’s what tightens the drag
You may need to replace the washers that are in this () configuration, they’re not meant to be reused if this is the case.
braid might be slipping. washers might be over greased. could be a number of things
