I went to Petsmart today to restock some supplies when I found this poor little girl (pic 1). She had so much poo and gunk in her cup (see pic 2), I could barely see her. She just sat at the bottom of the cup and looked dead. I had to actually pick her cup up to get her to move. I couldn't leave her there. So I bought her (Petsmart would discount her despite her condition) and brought her home.
I put her in a small holder tank (reserved for when I'm cleaning my other betta tank as a place to hold him) with some cycled water while I set up a second tank. Once that was done, I let her in to the new tank. In the few hours I've had her, she's already perked up so much (she still hasn't eaten yet, so stay tuned) and I'm hopeful she'll become the beautiful, healthy betta she deserves to be (pic 3).

Such a cute name for a cute girl. I hope she grows to be happy and healthy with you! I just rescued a little guy in a similar situation from Meijer, it’s been a week so far and got him from his hospital tank into his cycled tank today, he looks better already.
