I’ve been utilizing a bunch of Japanese brand hooks and it’s been interesting which companies are actually made in Japan. The TLDR so far is that Ryugi and Decoy are actually made in Japan!!
Gamakatsu, Owner, and Hayabusa are NOT! Still great hooks, but just FYI for people searching for peace of mind!

I do not think it matters where it made. BKK being full chinese is top quality as well.
Wait till you find out where Nike shoes are made.
Anyway I’ve been using Owner for a while, haven’t let me down yet.
