Hello everyone again. Thank you for your help with the Ned rig, I caught a few bass on it last night. Great feeling. Trying to get down the Texas rig now. Felt I did it pretty good fist try, but the only thing I’m not sure is normal is that the bullet weight dosent sit even on top of the soft plastic (yamaswim black and blue). Is this normal? The picture may not do it justice, but it’s sitting uneven on top of the worm, like half of the bottom of the weight is resting on the worm and the other half is off. The weight also moves like crazy, would this be a problem in the water?
Any tips will help and thank you all again.

Yeah man that’s no big deal.
I’d poke the tip of the hook back into the worm to make it more weedless. This is called “skin hooking” and in my experience doesn’t affect hookup ratio at all, but it sure helps to not catch every weed and blade of grass in existence.
I mean.. That’ll fish. A T-rig is aimed to be weedless so you want a straight or slightly cocked worm presentation with the barb tucked slightly into the plastic. You can use a bobber stop or use a toothpick to shove in the hole of the weight and snap it off so the weight doesn’t move but that’s personal preference. A paddle tail like you have is unorthodox but works just play with your retrieve.
I don’t use the weight most of the time.
A tip I found to be helpful is to test the lure in some shallow water. You normally can see how it would behave. If the sliding concerns you they make little things to peg the weight into place.
