i went to turn on my boy's light this morning and realized his fins look really weird. it's hard to get a good picture but they look pretty damaged. he was perfectly fine last night and he's still energetic this morning and eating well. parameters are perfect, temp is 78.4 (it's normally a bit warmer than that but its a little chilly today), and his only tank mates are pygmy corys and some snails. everything in his tank is natural except a floating log (we've checked many times to make sure it wouldnt hurt his fins alongside everything else in his take).
I'm not really sure what fin rot would look like in a lighter colored betta but ive heard it looks different so i just wanna make sure it's not fin rot. my boy has a habit of acting like a cat, as in he frequently manages to get himself into places it doesn't look like he'd fit in. he used to have fin biting problems but when we upgraded his tank it went away

Full moons that move alot can damage their own fins by swimming to fast or aggressive have experienced this myself
Hello! What does your setup look like? Types of rocks? Does the droftwood have sharp parts sticking out that could snag the tail? Do you have any rocks in there that could cause tears? Let me know. 😁
Le mien s’est abîmé la queue en dormant sur la crépine de la pompe j’ai dû y installer une mousse pour qu’il ne se les fasse pas aspirés car c’est vraiment devenu son lit préféré.
