Betta Fish: Alien Betta from Petco, thought he was a diamond in a rough.

I got him from Petco and I really thought his fins were so sharp and clean. He looks super small compared to the other bettas and I have him in a temporary 2.5 gallon tank for now to get him out of the cup. I’m setting up a planted 10 gallon for him. I’ve never had an alien betta before and his color has deepened since moving him from the cup.

His fins are so awesome it’s like a half green and half blue on the bottom so interesting to me. Could he be one of the super rare ones or something? (assuming he’s extremely young because he is like super tiny lol) I can’t wait for him to be moved into the planted tank I’ve been working on all week!

He’s also quite peaceful and doesn’t flare his gills as much but he will flare his fins instead. I really want to add shrimp to his tank without him eating it so MAYBEEE.
