I would have to paddle through this bigger slow moving section of river to reach a smaller section of the river which I would then fish. I would paddle near the edges

Tons of unanswered questions making this tough to answer. The OT 106 is stable so it’s probably fine but the question is would it even be enjoyable? High wind and chop ruin any kayak fishing day. Also current is a big deal that can sneak up on you. So watch the wind forecasts and be prepared.

It mainly depends on the conditions of the day, life wind, u say a river so also need to consider the current and if u can paddle fast enough to handle it. It looks pretty enclosed though so u shouldn’t have much of a problem as long as u can self rescue and have a locator beacon on u.
