Live plants make a huge difference for them. Or at the very least some silk plants so they can hide and sleep in them

he’s very ok for now, looks very young, healthy and curious, but you need a **lot** more live plants and probably get rid of that bucket to prevent hurting him.. However! You can easily make a similar structure with coconut shell, there’re many videos about making coconut caves. Cheap and healthier and kinda fun to make.
Do you have a water test kit? Is the tank cycled? If not do a 50% water change with treated water (dechlorinated water) immediately and then get Seachem Prime and Fritz Turbo 700 to cycle the tank safely asap.
Edit: I saw the filter after checking the video again, so advice has been adjusted

Beautiful boy, looks very active and curious, but get a reliable test kit (API is generally recommended) to monitor water parameters and make sure they’re safe, replace the barrel with something safer like the other comment suggested (don’t want him getting stuck or injured after all!) and see if you can find some live plants like anubias or java fern, or at least some silk plants

Has the tank been running for a few weeks before you got the fish? That needs to happen to ensure the tank is cycled, you will need an API freshwater chemical test kit to verify it’s cycled. Your fishes survival depends on it, if it’s not or you don’t start a “fish-in cycle” soon, it will suffer and probably die.

I would replace the substrate. I’ve heard others say that the colored ones like that may be toxic. You want something more natural. He needs more resting and hiding places. It’s good to get some floating plants that can be placed closer to the surface. You can also get a silk betta leaf hammock.
