My male betta has been staying to the bottom of the tank for the last two days. We got him about a week ago, parameters in the tank are fine, he was added into a cycled tank. He doesn’t have any tank mates besides a mystery snail, bladder snails, and a bristle nose pleco (on the smaller side). He was very skinny when we got him and still is. I have two other bettas that I’ve done fine with but they’re plakats and don’t have to carry around long fins so I’m not sure if he just rests more?? I added him to a cup so he won’t have to work as hard to get air. I haven’t seen him flare in the past two days either, he gets fed twice a day, am and pm. But hasn’t showed any interest in eating. He was also seems to look paler than when I got him. I tried getting a video to focus on the best I could. Thanks in advance!

He isn’t bloated, so that is one good sign. May be swim bladder, may be bacterial. Seems he has some rot going on, so there are probably comorbid issues. Can you access broad spectrum antibiotics or antifungals? What are your parameters?
His fins are very clamped. There’s quite a few things that can cause it so I recommend looking into that and eliminating the possible causes. Though i also had a betta forever ago who suddenly randomly clamped up and bounced straight back after a salth bath. Maybe worth trying? 🤷♀️
