I acquired this beautiful white female betta with a small 2 gallon tank I bought on FB marketplace. I didn’t know I was getting the betta with the tank. I had bought it exclusively for my baby mystery snails (until they were safely large enough for a bigger tank).

I set up the tank in the pic (20 gallons) for her. It has everything a betta could want/need. However, I noticed she’s been having a hard time finding the food I give her (bug bites for bettas and frozen blood worms). I set up a 5 gallon tank yesterday for her and an adult mystery snail. She seems to be able to locate food better but I’m curious about her and if I did the right thing.

Can we get better eye photos? A lot of bettas are derpy about finding food but her eyes do look odd.

  2. Thanks so much! That makes me feel better. Is it common in white bettas to be blind?
