I never had a baitcaster or any type of high end fishing setup before. Earlier today I was on my way to buy a fishing rod setup for 20 bucks. It was a 3000 size Shimano nasci FC on a Shimano glf rod. Amazing deal. Depressingly the guy had sold the rod already and didn't tell me once I got there (45min drive on tolls). Out of frustration I went to the nearby bass pro and spent 2 and half hours browsing gear before angrily investing in a new setup. My original setup consisted of:
Abu Garcia max pro (old gen) 20 size spinning reel
Abu Garcia vengeance graphite rod 6 foot 6 inches.
I now got myself a Shimano curado DC 160 and a Johnny Morris signature series medium heavy extra fast rod. would y'all change anything keeping the same budget? A different rod maybe for the 200 I spent on it.
