I posted a couple days ago but didn’t get much response and I’m still at a loss what to do, so I’m trying again. Blue is healthy and active and such, but his fins have been ragged and sad looking for awhile now. I don’t know what to do about it- I suppose he could be tearing them on driftwood, Ive never seen any injuries on him though. If he’s nipping I haven’t caught him in the act, and once or twice I’ve tried treating him with kanaplex in case it was fin rot and saw no change. The last photo is when I first got him and he certainly didn’t use to look like this. Don’t know what’s causing this or how to fix it

Was he fully grown when you got him? Or what kind of betta he is? Did you use Focus when you treated with KanaPlex? What are your parameters?

Sorry for the barrage of questions, I wanna try to help your little guy 😓 Betta’s are so easy to get attached to

Hi OP, can you post a link to the previous post? Only if there is more info there though.

Can you tell us about the water parameters (ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH), how long you’ve had him, the age and size of the tank, what’s in the tank, when the rot started, water change schedule etc?

    Thank you
