For these,
A 6-6 to 7-3 long medium light to medium spinning rod with a moderate fast to fast (depending on manufacturer) tip.
For a baitcaster seek another’s advice

A few of these will get down 6 to 8 feet.
The bulk will be 4 ft, some 2 ft

Rods typically have a recommended line weight and lure weight either written right on them or its for sure something you can look up online. I hope that helps

I’d go for something light to moderate light, 6’6-7’6”, moderate fast action (sometimes a fast will cast much more like a moderate fast, such as most of St. Croix’s spinning rods in L/ML). Definitely want to have something that’ll load the blank at such light weights, compared to something stiff like a Shimano Expride. I have a TFO trout & panfish 2, it’s my workhorse; it’s fast action is relatively soft so it’s a bit closer to a moderate fast.
Also the clown color rapala you have worked well for me today, noticed three brook trout chasing it at one point.
