This is Gian. I love my little boy but he will swim over to his feeding ring about 10 times a day. If I ignore him, he will flare at me and follow me around in his tank. I know he's not being aggressive or fearful because he will let me pet him and doesn't hide from me. Sometimes he'll even eat the duckweed. He stops as soon as I feed him. He literally gets 3 pellets twice a day and he's fucking tiny so I don't know why he's such a hungry boy. Is this a normal behavior or should I switch to a higher quality food?

I have a betta that will eat/expectorate the wafers meant for the shrimp/snail that live with him…
Meaning he will see their food, swim up to it, take a bite, SPIT THAT BITE OUT because he’s not a snail or a shrimp, and then go back and try to eat the mouthful he spit out moments before… Yesterday I watched him do this five times before he finally figured out it would taste the same no matter how many times he tried to eat it.
Some fishies gonna be piggies.
