I have a 10 foot Lifetime Kenai Kayak. I’ve watched some videos about adding a stadium seat to these because the factory seats are so low.
Seen many videos saying 1/2 inch conduit clamps like in the picture and stainless screws.
I feel like due to the gap between the clamps and the angled plastic of the kayak they won’t hold with stainless screws nearly as good as if they were flush.
Anyone do anything easier or will the screw actually pull this in just from the plastic?
Thanks in advance!

You need well nuts or nutserts for strength. Screws into plastic will fail with flexing.
You are going to compromise the stability of your kayak by raising the seat that much. It was not designed for it.
