Caught in a pond in the middle of McKinney, Texas, on a white rooster tail. Its been a year+, but I’d estimate it was around 13 inches or more, but I’d rather be conservative than overestimate. For some reason, I am MONEY SPREADING the fish and double palming it because I had absolutely no idea what I was doing and I didn’t want to drop it. I catch panfish in the Rio grande valley now, so it’s all Rio grande cichlids and sunfish here, the size of those species don’t seem very comparable considering how big this guy was

    That’s a big Crappie. They get bigger, but not by a lot. It was a good catch

    Honestly not that bad of a way to hold the crappie as long as he doesn’t freak out on you and flop out of your hands.

    I’d guess 13-15 inches. Very nice fish!
