Hello
About 1,5 months ago, my molly gave birth. From then to today survived 14 babies. A few days ago, we saw that molly, who gave birth, had a big belly again. And today, we saw new babies (about 6-7 of them).
What can I do? My girlfriend will take a few of them, but that's still too much fishes in tank.
Euthanasia is not an option.
Aquarium 60 litres
Fishes: 8 Neon Tetra, 3 Albino Corydoras, 4 (adult) Mollies + about 20 babies

you could give them to a fish shop, or give them to friends/family. or you can get them a separate tank or divide the tank with a divider so that they can grow.
if you do want to give them to the shop make sure you call them first and ask if you can bring them in
Sadly Molly’s are live bearing fish that can hold semen for up to 9 months worth of fertilization..
You have 3 options here..
1. Remove all males and rehome (just know you’ll have 9 months worth of impending babies per female)
2. Rehome all females leaving only males and babies till mature and rehome the females.. (as soon as they reach sexual maturity they are pregnant period.. )
3 add some danio tetras they will be apex hunters of fry.. to control the population( i have a schools for my guppies im lucky if 3 make it ) and let NATURE RUN ITS COURSE..
Neon tetras will not attack them due to them being to big to eat at birth… I know I have 32 of them.. got the danio tetras and they will patiently wait for the fry to drop and as soon as they head to the bottom or top they hardly ever reach the finish line.. even with the large guppy grass forest windelov ferns meadow and cholla tree (literally from root to top it pokes out my tank its so bigg) .. danios are fierce hunters.. they will go into the grass once they see em there’s no line of sight break only tunnel vision and they will work as a team to “smoke them out” so to speak..
I have guppies in a 20 gallon long planted tank, how much will they reproduce? Am I gonna end up with a swarm of guppies lol
Giving them away to friends or a fish shop is definitely your best option. There is a chance a lot of them won’t make it to adulthood though.
I have the opposite problem. I have a breeding colony of Platys who eat their own babies so fast that barely any make it to adulthood
You will have mollies and babies whilst you have males and females, I had to remove my 2 males and return them to my LFS, only 1 fry has survived as the females seem to like the taste of their own fry, and cardinal tetras made a few fry into snacks.
I just hope that this continues whilst the females give birth to anymore crops of babies but otherwise my LFS has said they’ll take them
