So is this what yall are calling a sunfish also? I live in Oklahoma, so some people may say bluegill, but most people I know say perch. I’m pretty clueless on the differences in them.

Green sunfish,my favorite live bait for flatheads. They stay alive and active a lot longer than regular bluegill, being that you’re in Oklahoma you should try it sometime one of those could net you a 50 lb. flat.

Not even close to a pearch, Google a perch. Green sunfish are also quite different from bluegill. Bluegill have typically have more color, and some faint bands. Pumkinseed are my favorite as far as color, I wouldn’t be surprised if that pond has some in it, You wouldn’t be incorrect to call that the “PANFISH” pond though, but miles away from pearch. Google, and happy fishing !

No shade to you OP, but it is absolutely hilarious to me that so often people who aren’t familiar with fish automatically assume that a fish they don’t recognize is some hybrid of the 2-3 fish they do know.
