If you have a run off creek in your neighborhood check to see if it’s a tributary to something bigger. If it is, it’s likely a good spot to test out different lures, techniques, and learn about your local ecosystem.
The only caveat is don’t expect monsters.

Amen! The best places to fish are those that are overlooked. Ponds in industrial areas, golf courses, etc.
I dunno about you, but I have steelhead on my creek. 🤭
