Will this work or catch anything?

Even a broken clock is right twice a day. You’re likely to catch something with that set up. I would consider adding a little more line to that reel though bud. Good luck and tight lines!

  2. Right now I would be throwing it around lay downs or other types of crappie looking cover.

  3. We throw hooks on spoons and fish bite it, you might not catch much but fish will bite anything, or maybe you’ll catch a bunch, only one way to find out

Sunfish (bluegill, red breast, whatever you call them). They’re not huge, but they’re loads of fun to catch.

Yeah it should work for at least something! Ps cut the zip ties off the rod

Hotchickendotcom is my go to if I want to catch literally anything. I works for brim, bass, and crappie

Nice rod/reel combo. I considered that brand recently, but went with another Pflueger Trion to match the rest.

The rod and reel? Yes. If the line came on the reel when you bought it … remove the line and put fresh line on, you never know how long that was sitting there on the spool.

The spool does not look like it holds too much line, so you won’t be chasing down anything too big.

The lure? Definitely. Caught a 28″ pike on a similar one once.
