This is called glass surfing. Something is off in your tank or could be happy to see you.You may want to do a water test

Might be trying to attack his reflection. Are those lights too bright? Can also add a black backdrop to help with this

Bettas in general especially males like this one get territorial. The quick flick into the glass and postering make me assume he is seeing his reflection in the glass and assuming it’s another betta. Try turning the lights in the room off/dim it while the tank lights are on and C if that makes a difference. It looks like a relatively new tank set up as well so everything is still squeaky clean meaning there’s no algae diatoms or gsa to diminish the amount of reflection the betta can see. He is definitely glass surfing but I think it’s from the reflection and not another reason. Plus it’s the easiest one to test first. If that still doesn’t help more plants will especially floaters as they make the light refract differently so there isn’t as visible of a reflection

She’s glass surfing. She could be happy to see you, or seeing her reflection. It could also be because shes bored, as it doesnt look like there’s too terribly much going on in the tank, just flat terrain with plants. Try adding some other decor, driftwood, rocks, hides, see if it continues.

Those lights are way too bright, especially considering there aren’t any floaters. Also, looks like your filter flow may be too strong because the plants seem to be swaying a bit.
Your girl is probably feeling exposed and stressed from fighting the current. Turn off the overhead LEDs, reduce your flow, and add some plant density. Maybe see if that helps?

A lot of points to consider here. I would add more plants for him, and a resting place.

Random but I would invest in a different heater. They don’t regulate and I have seen them go 100+ degrees and no way of turning them down.

Mines been doing this since I got it like 2-3 months ago. I’ve never thought for a second it was a problem until I read some of these comments. I still think it’s normal behavior or it’s just seeing its reflection in the glass.
