Yesterday Mike passed away, and before him I would never have imagined that the absence of a fish in my day would weigh so heavily on my heart. It was very sad to wake up and not see him dancing in the aquarium waiting for his breakfast, and now I’ve come home after a long day and I can’t see him resting so peacefully like only a long-tailed betta knows how to do. I love him and I hope he knows I did my best to give him a good life. I hope he is at peace.

SIP Mike. I feel you OP. My betta Hanabi passed last week and it’s so sad to be home and I can’t talk to him anymore. It’s so sad to see his empty tank. Sending hugs
